The Monaco, our most popular larger-sized walk-in bathtub, is 2 inches wider than the Capri and features an outward swinging door for effortless entry and exit. Its key feature, the outswing door, is crafted from industrial-strength white PVC composite and tempered glass, which elegantly matches the tub’s glossy acrylic finish for a contemporary look. The unique 3-latch gear and shaft locking mechanism ensures a secure, leak-proof seal every time you bathe, far superior to competitors’ single-lock designs. The Monaco includes Ella fast-fill faucet and proprietary dual drain technology, providing industry-leading, fastest gravity-driven drainage. The walk-in tub shell of the Monaco is constructed with premium acrylic in a white glossy finish, supported by a stainless-steel frame with adjustable leveling legs, and reinforced with fiberglass gel coat layers. The nonporous acrylic surface is easy to clean and impermeable to mold and mildew. A textured floor, low step-in threshold, one deck and one wall mounted U-shape stainless steel grabs in a chrome finish, enhance your safety and allow quick and safe entry and exit in and out of the tub.
The Monaco is created to accommodate larger body types and recommended for bathers who want a roomier bathtub interior. This walk-in tub measures at 32”W x 52”L and has a comfortable 23” wide seat. The Monaco’s main feature is the door which is made from industrial grade durable plastic composite material with a decorative tempered glass screen to conceal the mechanical door lock system. The door is 19 1/4” wide, and swings outward from the tub to allow the bathers to comfortably enter and exit the tub. The outward swing door also creates more interior space, which allows bathers to effortlessly sit into the molded seat, pull the door and lock it. Ella U-Shape outward swinging doors use a gear and shaft driven 3-latch door lock that edges out our competition, who typically use a single latch/lever system. A 3-latch door system creates a more secure and watertight door seal, providing you with a safe, leak-free bathing experience.
The Monaco comes with one of the best and exclusive features: Dual Drain Technology, consisting of two independent 2” gravity driven drains with four 2” outlets, 2 overflows and 2 drain openers, allowing for a fast and reliable drainage. 2 caps are also included to cover up to 2 of 4 ports if needed. The 2” drain outlets can be connected to the standard 1 ½” house drain with a T or Y fitting and piping provided by a professional plumber. It is suggested to connect all 4 outlets to the house drain for the fastest drainage possible. Typical drainage time is approximately +/- 80 seconds for this standard size tub within ideal in-home plumbing conditions. Ella gravity driven dual drains are fast and reliable because they do not require an electric pump, whereas electrical driven drains may fail due to electrical shorts or power outages.
This model also includes one reversible end panel for left or right corner installation options and one extension filler panel kit for 60” alcove installations. The reversible end panel is used to cover the end of the tub that is exposing the walk-in tub shell. An additional end panel can be ordered if your tub will be installed against the wall with both ends exposed.

1. Hydro Massage System

The Monaco walk-in tub has fifteen (15) strategically placed hydro jets in order to deliver optimal therapeutic relief. Nine (9) upper fixed jets work to provide relief for your back, hips and thighs, while six (6) lower adjustable jets massage your feet and calves.
The Hydro Massage System includes: a hydro pump with an in-line water heater, an eco-friendly ozone sterilization system, a hydro massage intensity control dial, and a strategically positioned hydro jet system for targeted and effective massaging.
The in-line water heater is designed to maintain the water temperature at a constant level while bathing for maximum comfort. The ozone sterilization system is the most eco-friendly, chemical free disinfectant that can eliminate a wide variety of inorganic, organic, and microbiological bacteria. This sterilization system is especially helpful in eliminating odors and hygienic maintenance.
Lastly, the hydro massage intensity control dial allows you to adjust the strength of the water stream by adding more or less air into the hydro system.
2. Hydro + Air Massage System

The Monaco walk-in tub has sixteen (16) strategically placed air jets in order to deliver rejuvenating therapeutic relief. Eight (8) upper, fixed flat jets work to provide relief to your back, hips and thighs, while an additional eight (8) jets located in the lower foot area deliver a gentle massage to your feet and calves. Additionally, two (2) of the eight (8) upper jets are bidet jets.
The air massage system includes an air pump with a 3-speed variable push control, strategically positioned air jets for optimal therapeutic relief, and auto-purge to maintain an air system free of any build ups.
Ella’s Air Jet System includes an Auto Purge System. It automatically activates 20 minutes after completing your bath in order to blow out any excess water and bacteria from the air jet lines. Auto-purge will run for 120 seconds to ensure your system is clear and free of moisture and excess water helping to prevent mildew build up.
3. Hydro + Independent Hydro Foot Massage System

The Hydro + Independent Foot and Calf Massage package uses two independently run pumps to give bathers a simultaneous full body massage and a powerful foot and calf massage. The strategically positioned upper and lower hydro jets powered by two hydro pumps include an intensity control dial to adjust the strength of the water pressure to your liking from a gentle pressure to a more rigorous massage. Bathers can enjoy an independent foot and calf massage within minutes by simply filling the foot well up the seat level.
Please note: if you choose this jetting package, your walk-in bathtub will come with one (1) in-line water heater that will be connected to the lower jets and used with the independent foot massage feature, and an ozone sterilization system connected to the upper jets.
4. Hydro + Infusion™ MicroBubble Therapy

Ella’s Infusion™ MicroBubble Therapy System consists of a single Microbubble jet connected to a hydro pump and a Microbubble tank system. The high-pressure hydro pump, along with the Microbubble tank, breaks down the water molecules into billions of tiny bubbles which are then sent out through a single jet. At the push of an on/off push control button, this feature can provide a moisturizing, exfoliating therapeutic experience all while detoxifying and relieving skin related issues.

Available as an add-on for all Ella walk-in tubs, the NuWhirls CozyHeat Heated Backrest & Seat system keeps you comfortable and warm while your tub fills. The heating cables are encased in a multi-layer mesh blanket and bonded together through a heat press process, ensuring excellent mechanical strength and a durable, long-lasting design. Advanced radiant heaters provide soothing comfort directly to the surface, enabling a heated seat and backrest. With its warm touch, it delivers the ultimate in comfort, relaxation, and health benefits. Operated by either an on/off Push Control or a Digital Control, the heated backrest and seat activate in minutes, keeping users cozy and relaxed from the moment they enter the tub.
Faucet Options
1. Ella 2 Piece Fast-Fill Faucet
The Ella 2 Piece Fast Fill Faucet with pull out multi-function hand shower is perfect for your walk in bathtub or any bathtub where fill time matters. The fast fill 2 piece fills at a rate of up to 18 GPM (gallons per minute) based on in house plumbing conditions. If desired, the pull out hand shower can be used for shower while the bathtub is filled to stay warm. Available in a Chrome or Brushed Nickel finish.
Disclaimer: Only the faucet can be ordered in brushed nickel. All other fixtures, including jets, drain openers, and grab bars, will be in chrome.
2. Complete Shower Column Kit For Deck Mounted Faucets
The Shower Column Kit connects to a diverter on an Ella brand 2 or 5 piece deck mounted faucet in order to create an extended overhead shower. The stainless steel, chrome finish column can be effortlessly adjusted up to 7 feet tall. Along the column is a vertically movable, 5 mode multi-functional hand shower, and attached at the top is an oversize rain shower that can be directed with ease to the seat for a seated shower or footwell for a stand up shower. This shower column kit replaces the need for a wall-mounted showerhead.
